About

Hey there,  if you’re just finding me, here’s who I am.  I’m just an average guy with a way above average interest in computer programming, gadgets, and all things hackable.  I program for work, I program for fun, and I’m learning more about electronics all the time.  I’ll be the first to tell you when I don’t know something, but I might ask a lot of questions.  Above all, I’m in it for the thrill of doing something new and exciting.  Please feel free to ask me any questions, I love to help.

Hi Josh. I came here by searching about gps devices solutions.
I’m a php programmer too, but not in the same level of you.

So, i’m lookin for an gps devile, like the GNX-10 to truck cars. Actually I have a litle program to track gps enabled mobile phones made in C# and a litle system to catch the data sent by the mobile aplication and use google maps to show the points.

So i want to go to the next level, car trucking. But i don’t know exactly which device to use to do this. I want a device to send data throught internet or sms message. Does the GNX-10 do this?

I really appreciate your knowledge sharing.

My english is too bad, i know it.

Yes the GenX devices use a GSM data connection to send the data to your server on a socket. However they are probably not open enough for what you want, and they are pretty spendy maybe around $300. Maybe you’re looking for something like the Trimble TrimTrack Locator See these recommendations on stackoverflow

Thanks again!
